DISTRICT WUSHU CHAMPIONSHIP BARAMULLA-2022 ORGANISED BY WUSHU ASSOCIATION BARAMULLA

Intro: Wushu or Kung fu, is a hard and soft and complete martial art, as well as a full-contact combat sport. It has a long history in reference to Chinese martial arts. It was developed in 1949 in an effort to standardize the practice of traditional Chinese martial arts, yet attempts to structure the various decentralized martial arts traditions date back earlier, when the Central Wushu Institute was established at Nanking in 1928.

On 26 October 2022, District Wushu Championship was organized by District Wushu Association Baramulla in collaboration with J&K Sports Council for Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior Boys and Girls at MTM Foundation High School Chandilora Tangmarg. This Championship was conducted from 26 – 28 Oct 2022.

Aim: The main aim of this championship was to shun drugs and addict sports. The practice of Wushu not only strengthens the bones and muscles but also the internal organs and intelligence.

Participants: About 300 participants from different schools participated this event. AGS, Ziran participated this championship with 47 participant, shone by blistering performance and won 10 Gold, 07 Silver and 13 Bronze medals in this championship and overall first position in District Baramulla.

Conclusion: The championship was a huge success, empowering participants with substantial knowledge of Wushu and other related activities. SDM Tangmarg delivered a speech in which he lighted the importance of Wushu for the youth.

Zonal Level U14 Boys Volleyball Kho Kho Kabadi championship. 

AGS,Ziran participated in Zonal Level Under-14 Inter School Volleyball Kho Kho and Kabadi Competitions conducted by Youth Service and Sports J&K held at Treran Tangmarg.

Zonal Level Cricket Tournament

In the first edition of Imtiyaz Memorial cricket cup played at Imtiyaz Memorial Govt Higher Secondary School Khaipora. #AGS_Ziran beat #HS_Warpora by 5 wickets.

Major Abhishek was the chief guest of the occasion, he addressed the participants that students should involve themselves more and more in sports, it will not only help their physical and mental health but also will help them to stay away from the social evils like drug addiction, stealing and spoking etc.
